Quiche Lorraine

Ingredients

  • 1 pie crust
  • 6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1 cup shredded Gruyère cheese
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg

Preparations

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Place the pie crust in a tart pan and prebake for 10 minutes.
  3. Sprinkle bacon and cheese over the crust.
  4. In a bowl, whisk together milk, cream, eggs, salt, pepper, and nutmeg. Pour over the bacon and cheese.
  5. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the custard is set and golden.
